Is it a sin if you don’t always “rejoice in the Lord” even though you’re trying to?

Question by ambidreamz: Is it a sin if you don’t always “rejoice in the Lord” even though you’re trying to?
Philippians 4:4 tells us to “rejoice in the Lord always”

Is it a sin if you’re trying to but aren’t there yet? Or in this case, is the Bible vague about what is and isn’t a sin.

Thanks!

“Listen to me…
You whom I have upheld since you were conceived,
and have carried since your birth.
Even to your old age and gray hairs, I am He.
I am He who will sustain you.
I have made you and and I will carry you;
I will sustain you and I will rescue you.”
Isaiah 46:3-4

1. habitually….we cast our cares on the One who cares for us
2. confidently…it is the throne of grace we approach, with confidence He hears and will respond
3. expectantly…once we give the care over, we know it is in good hands…There is none good, but God.
4. thankfully…we can thank God for the answer to prayer, even before we see the answer. This is appropriate, because He knows what we need before we ask !
(We are not prying blessings from an unwilling giver, but dealing with the Great Giver….who gave us His best, and will never withold any good thing from us. )
5. faithfully…without faith, it is impossible to please Him. We know that in Christ, we please God because the life of Christ was all pleasing to ‘God.
